Time . . . pausing at your door

Time . . . pausing at your door

Almost a quarter through the new century, what have you done with time . . . Want from time . . .

Wish you could do with time?

Time arrived at our door; everyone’s door. Time does not discriminate; we all must move along.

Time doesn’t wait.

A knock on the door speaks with a kind but insistent voice, an understanding, encouraging voice, it’s 2024, time to move along, again. There is a hint of optimism, balanced with the ground of realistic truth – existential truths about life. Time sets our limits, and we collude, it can be ineffable as well as grounded.

Right beside Time, Acceptance stands tall, offering you a compassionate nod.

You take a quick look around, the space that held 2023; what are you leaving behind, what will you carry forward? Being a reasonable person, you packed away a few memories to be sorted out on life’s continued journey.

Time offers a suggestion . . . lessen your burden, leave behind fear, threats, stories, and misunderstandings that no longer serve you, a few dangling emotions not yet recovered.

Don’t carry too much from the past

How did you prepare to leave? There’s still time. What did you pack? What will you leave behind?

Will you leave the door unlocked? Lock the space that is 2023, place 2023 in that space that has all the days of your life, calendars from all years past?

You step out . . . Time is already in flow.

A conversation . . .

Aware that habit and aggressive external agendas will try to steal something precious — You Being in the here and now, Time offers permission — a reminder –

Along the way, this new fork in the road, this new path, you must remember, you create this, prepare, embrace, give way to . . . here and now moments. Be present for you, for your inner child.

Will you Accept?

Will you embrace, prepare, promise to be present to moments-of-immediacy? Often?

What practice will you create to Be-in-the-moment

Increase moment-to-moments along the way,

Breath and extend your time more frequently, mindful moments,

Pace carefully with Time, Converse with Time, Be with Time. Embrace Time.

Pause now for a moment . . . sit on the shore of Time’s stream, watch Time play with freedom and flow, exuberance and calm, following the banks of life, around rocks and curves, flowing past the unexpected, the unwanted . . . and there are ripples of joy and coincidence and gratitude.

We are creatures of time, we step into time, wade in the refreshing and sometimes quite forceful flow of time, caught within time’s natural flow, we forget, regret, re-member, re-play, recover, rely on our sensibilities . . .
